Noah Salaman discovered the joy of birding when he stumbled onto one of Amos Butler Audubon Society’s walks at Eagle Creek. Ever since he has been joining the Sunday morning hike on the Coffer Dam. There, Noah has mingled with many friendly birders, all while growing in his appreciation of birds.

In 2016 Noah moved from Mt. Vernon, Indiana where he grew up, to Indianapolis for college. In 2020, he graduated from the university once named IUPUI with a Computer Science Degree and has been acting as a web and mobile app developer for five years. In his off time, he runs a quiz-style web game where users will have one guess to correctly identify a bird. He has also assisted with the 2024 Birdathon silent auction by running the auction website. In 2024, Noah joined the ABAS Board and became Website Chair for the Amos Butler Audubon Society.

Utilizing his web-based skills and passion for birding, Noah pledges to update and upkeep the Amos Butler Audubon website for his time as the Chair. Noah strives to make the website the best it can be by keeping the calendar updated with upcoming events and posting articles to the website. He wants the general public to be aware of events that could introduce someone new to his favorite hobby.

When not birding Noah enjoys board games, video games, listening to podcasts, and reading. Some of his favorite places outside of Indiana include Minnesota, where he goes yearly, and Maine, where he took a trip recently. When he is birding locally Noah can normally be found at Eagle Creek, but when he adventures other places, he aspires to bring the warmth of ABAS members with him. As he knows, it is the kindness of the group that has gotten him to join with and stick with birding.
