Wes Homoya and Ben Miller here, your new Christmas Bird Count organizers and compilers for the 2023 ININ CBC! This fall is flying by and it’s time to start making plans for the 2023 Indianapolis (ININ) Christmas Bird Count!

We’d like to first give a huge thank you to John Schaust for 15 years of dedicated service leading this count. John will be enjoying a well-deserved break from this volunteer role though we appreciate his continued assistance and guidance as we navigate this first year.

This year’s count will take place on Sunday, December 31, 2023. To register, please email mcconservancy@gmail.com by December 12th. Once registered, we will send you a follow-up email by December 20th with this year’s complete count materials and your assigned area(s).

Anyone wishing to exclusively count the birds at your home feeders, please email us your address so we can confirm that your location is within the boundaries of the count circle and to receive instructions and a reporting form.
