Bird Safe Indy is hosting training for bird window strike victim data collection/bird rescuing for the Bird Safe Indy (fka Lights Out Indy) initiative of the Amos Butler Audubon Society here in Indianapolis. August 15th is the start of our fall survey season and it runs through November 15th. We need all the help we can get in documenting window strikes!

They will be meeting in front of the Indiana Department of Correction (302 W. Washington Street) for demonstrations that may last up to an hour. This will include some walking around nearby buildings. You just need to bring yourself and perhaps a phone as there will be an app demonstration. *As a disclaimer, you may see birds in unsettling conditions.
