Dr. Dean Wiseman is a professor of biology at the University of Indianapolis with multidisciplinary expertise in physiology, cell biology, pathophysiology and pharmacology. He is also an avid caver and will be sharing his knowledge of caving with us this December. Dean has vast caving experience beyond Indiana such as 5 expeditions to Lechuguilla, multiple visits to Mammoth Cave, and his ongoing participation in ground-breaking surveys of Vietnam’s Tiger Cave System. However, he is also a very avid caver within the state as a former director and active member of the Central Indiana Grotto—our local chapter of the National Speleological Society. This talk will be a great opportunity for those curious about caving in Indiana and ways to get involved in the local speleological scene.
