Bird Walks in the Nina Mason Pulliam EcoLab
Nina Mason Pulliam EcoLab 3200 Cold Spring Road, IndianapolisThe Nina Mason Pulliam EcoLab is a wonderful place to bird watch, with over 165 different species sightings being recorded since 2002. No experience is necessary, and the hike will be led by one of the bird experts at Marian. The only things that are necessary are binoculars and a little bit of patience! We will meet at the St. Francis statue just west of the Allison Mansion on the Marian campus at 8:00 am every Wednesday starting August 28th and ending the week before Thanksgiving. Bring water to drink and wear comfortable shoes. No reservation is required.
Volunteer Training Series
Holliday Park Nature Center 6363 Spring Mill Road, IndianapolisABAS is making it even easier to volunteer with our Volunteer Training Program! Each session will focus on a different topic designed to provide volunteers with hands-on opportunities to gain the knowledge and skills needed to help with chapter programs and events. No experience needed, open to individuals age 16+. This session will be how to lead or assist on a bird hike. Much of the session will be a bird hike led by Dan Boritt, Holliday Park Manager. We are looking for volunteers who want to lead or help on bird hikes.
CILTI Volunteer Day at Burnett Woods
CILTI Burnett Woods 8264 East County Road 100 South, AvonJoin Central Indiana Land Trust (CILTI) for a morning of invasive species control at this nature preserve in Avon. Volunteers will work to remove invasive honeysuckle from the preserve. Registration is required.
