The Hamilton County Christmas Bird Count is open to birders age 10 and older. A free lunch will be provided at the Cool Creek Park Nature Center following a morning of hiking and birding.

Join a naturalist for a bark ID lesson, designed for homeschoolers and a guardian. During our lesson, we will learn tips & tricks for tree ID and we will focus on color, texture, and characteristic pattern differences that will help you learn your trees in their dormant state.
The Indianapolis CBC, sponsored by ABAS, takes place within a 15-mile-diameter circle covering the northeast side of Indianapolis, with the center point being in Fort Harrison State Park.

For this Christmas Bird Count meet at McCloud Nature Park, located southwest of North Salem in Hendricks County, at 8:30 am. It is preferred that participants register in advance with Roger Hedge. The group will meet for lunch in North Salem at 12:30 pm. Anyone who wishes to continue after lunch is welcome to join Roger in the afternoon.
